Dwellling Fire October 12, 2014

All three South Whitehall fire departments along with the Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Western Salisbury, Lower Macungie and Alburtis fire departments responded to a dwelling fire at 406 Beverly Drive Sunday October 12 at 3:53PM. Smoke and flames could be seen in an attached sun room with the possibility of extension into the home. The home owner, Roger Hamm and his wife Lori and their daughter were home at the time and were trying to control the fire with a garden hose.
With the arrival of Cetronia firefighters, followed quickly by Woodlawn and Greenawalds firefighters, a quick stop was made. However, smoke had entered the home making it uninhabitable for the Hamm's.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by South Whitehall fire inspector John Frantz.
