The members of Cedar Lutheran Church, Cetronia, celebrated the retirement of their much beloved and appreciated Pastor of 21 years, the Reverend Richard G. Gardner. A Godspeed ceremony concluded the Sunday June 26, 2011 service followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. At 1:00PM a luncheon was held at the Holiday Inn & Confrence Center, Fogelsville which included not only members of Cedar Church, but pastors from othe Lehigh Valley Lutheran churches, and the Reverend Lee Schleicher, Pastor of Cedar United Church of Christ, our Union partner at Cedar Church. Additionally, the Reverend Glennn Simmons, Associate to the Bishop of Northeast Pennsylvania Synod conducted the invocation and blessing as well as read a letter from the Bishop thanking Pastor Gardner for his years of service to not only Cedar Church, but to the Lehigh Valley church communit yand the Lehigh Mission District. Frank Knauss, life long member of Cedar Lutheran Church was the Master of Ceremonies.
